JASON BENNETTO. Crime Correspondent. The husband of a building society manageress was jailed for life yesterday for murdering his wife after a jury rejected his story that the couple were victims. On that Saturday, by his own account, his mother had annoyed him. In response, he picked up a gun and shot her in the head. He went down and showed the corpse to his brother, who began to cry. Nehemiah then shot his brother as well, picked up an AR rifle, and shot his two sisters. When his father returned home, he got a dose of lead as well.

His book HIGH CRIMES was adapted into a movie starring Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd; PARANOIA was made into the Harrison Ford/Gary Oldman film. He was born in Chicago, lived in the Philippines, Afghanistan, Washington State, Joseph Finder is the author of the forthcoming novel JUDGMENT and fourteen other novels, many of them New York Times /5. The book has been inspired in part by two large research projects that the authors have recently completed for the Home Office on the connection between drug use and crime. The first project was the NEW-ADAM (New English and Welsh Arrestee Drug Abuse Monitoring) programme, which aimed to look at drug use and crime among samples of arrestees.

This is a terrific noir crime anthology with stories presented in chronological order of publication, beginning in the s with Dashiell Hammett and ending in the s (when this book was published) with Ed Gorman. Like most books of this type, you'll enjoy some stories more than others/5. H.H. Holmes was the alias of one of America's first serial killers.
